Tottenham sold Emerson Royal to AC Milan for a fee of £13m in the summer 2024 transfer window.

The Brazilian has had a torrid time in Italy and the Rossoneri even tried to sell him in January, but an injury struck Emerson down for at least two months, making sure that he stayed at Milan.

Calciomercato have reported that the right-back remains an ‘unknown’ at the San Siro and the levels of his performances have oscillated between disastrous and merely sufficient.

As a result, Milan now want to somehow avoid making a capital loss from the ex-Tottenham player’s sale. For that to happen, potential suitors would have to offer more than €11.25m in the summer. As of now, it is difficult to imagine a club offering that amount for the right-back.

Galatasaray were linked with a move in January and the report believes that a move to Turkey can still be on the cards.  A loan move is likelier than a permanent sale and that is because of his poor performances since his arrival from Tottenham, and the need to avoid a capital loss.
