Monday has been a rather busy day in terms of Lucas Torreira’s potential exit from Arsenal.
The Uruguay international does not fall in Mikel Arteta’s plans with the Gunners, as shown by him not choosing the player for any of the games so far, and an exit is clearly on the cards.
The big question remains where to, with Fiorentina allegedly getting very close to bringing the player back to Italy.
Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, however, have other plans in mind, and Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting the Bundesliga side are trying to hijack a potential deal with the Serie A side.
It’s explained the Germans have ‘increased their offer’ for the Arsenal midfielder, but the main obstacle for them is the fact ‘he would like to return to Serie A’.
Di Marzio explains Arsenal could scupper the player’s plans, as they ‘could insist on giving the cord’ to Eintracht, as they seem to be offering more.
One to certainly keep an eye on, as Torreira and the Gunners could end up going clashing heads on this, even if it is stated in the article that a decision ‘will be made today’ and the ‘final word is up to the player’.
