Torino’s wish to keep Dennis Praet at the club is no secret, since the Leicester City loanee has been having a good season for the Turin side.

The problem is that despite agreeing a buying option to sign him permanently, it seems the Serie A side still wouldn’t be able to afford that amount.

This information today comes from outlet Torino Granata, who writes that the €15m fee is considered ‘too high’ for Torino. That’s why the Italian club now engaged in talks with Leicester City to renew the loan.

Torino Granata claim the Foxes are open to that possibility. However, they want ‘guarantees’ that Torino will buy the player in one year.

Praet still has a contract with Leicester City running until 2024, so the Premier League side are in no rush to accept what Torino are putting on the table.

His value on Transfermarkt is €15m, the same number as the buying option, so we shall wait and see how much the Italian side will try to agree the clause for this time.
