Turkish newspaper Yeni Asir claim Goztepe have turned their attention to signing Derby County forward Cameron Jerome, with plans to sign Vagner Love being put on hold.
Yeni Asir report the Turkish Super Lig club have contacted with the Derby County player’s agent over a potential move, with reports their manager Bayram Bektas wants to see Jerome in his team for this season.
Goztepe are currently without a striker after former Chelsea striker Demba Ba left the Turkish club for China and they now want to replace him by signing Jerome.
The 31 year old striker joined Derby County from Norwich City during the last winter transfer window and scored 5 goals in 18 games in the Championship.
Jerome has yet to feature for the Rams under new manager Frank Lampard and may need to move on to get playing time elsewhere. The English striker has 10 months left on his current contract.
