Napoli will have to think about an offer from Manchester United for Kim-min Jae, should it arrive in the near future.
That’s according to sporting director Giuseppe Cannella, who believes the Italian side cannot afford to turn down the instant profit they could make on the defender.
Kim arrived in Naples in the summer as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, who left to join Chelsea.
He’s been an instant hit with the Italian side, establishing himself in the heart of their defence with a series of impressive performances.
He is already being linked with a move away and reports in England have linked Manchester United with an interest in his signature.
That’s because of a €50m release clause in his contract, which those same reports have made it clear Manchester United would be willing to pay.
It’s since been made clear in Italy that clause cannot be activated in January, but Cannella insists if United do show an interest, then Napoli cannot turn it away.
“Manchester United on Kim? Napoli must think about it immediately,” Area Napoli report him saying.
“If they come for Kim, you have to get another one like him. Because if you make a capital gain of around 30 million in 6/7 months you have to ask yourself?
“If you have serious scouting and an outstanding sporting director, you already have to know that if an offer for Kim arrives, you have to have the replacement ready.”
