Ajax would be ‘crazy’ not to accept Manchester United’s offer for Antony should they improve it.
That’s according to analyst Aad de Mos, who believes the Dutch giants will never get a figure close to what Manchester United are offering again.
Antony has been linked with Manchester United all summer, with Erik ten Hag focusing heavily on the Eredivisie and his former club for signings.
It appeared they had turned their attention towards other targets, but their interest has been revived this week, with an €80m bid rejected by Ajax.
Antony has since missed training and further reports have made it clear that Manchester United are readying a €100m bid to try and finally convince the Dutch champions to sell.
Whether that bid is made or does convince Ajax to sell their star man remains to be seen but De Mos believes it would be a major mistake not to let the player depart for Old Trafford.
“Is Ajax crazy or Manchester United?” Voetbal Primeur report him saying to VTBL.
“I think they are both crazy, if Ajax doesn’t do it. You’ll never get that again for such a player. If a boy from Brazil can earn five times as much, he will leave.”
