Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract at Everton runs out at the end of this season and his future still needs to be clarified.
The contract situation hasn’t impacted the striker’s game time this season as he’s made 15 league appearances, which includes 14 starts, managing two goals and an assist in the process.
Calvert-Lewin’s statistics aren’t that impressive for Everton this season but he’s managed to attract interest from Italy.
That’s at least what Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting, and he names Fiorentina as the 27-year-old’s interested party.
The Serie A side are looking to improve their squad in the winter market and are looking at Calvert-Lewin for the attack.
Di Marzio explains La Viola can try to sign the Everton player as early as January, without mentioning the fee they could offer. The journalist also makes no mention of the Toffees and the England international’s plans for next window.
If Fiorentina make an approach, Sean Dyche’s side have to make a decision on whether to cash in from Calvert-Lewin’s sale in January or risk losing him for free next summer.
A move to the Italian club will see the striker reunite with his former Everton teammate, Moise Kean.
