AC Milan are keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal in the summer window and this has been repeatedly reported in the Italian media over the past few weeks.
Last Tuesday, Corriere dello Sport stated the Serie A side will soon hold talks with Spurs for the right-back.
A day later, the same newspaper said the Tottenham player is ready to take a pay cut to join the Rossoneri this summer.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio now claims Milan are in continuous contact with Ange Postecoglou’s side to try and secure a deal for the 25-year-old.
He adds the two clubs have scheduled a ‘new meeting’ between Wednesday and Thursday over signing the Brazil international.
It’s claimed the meeting is for Milan to understand ‘how far they can go with their offer’, likely to convince the Premier League side. There would be more updates on this case after the meeting in the next 48 hours.
Emerson made 24 appearances in all competitions for Spurs last season, of which five of them were as a right-back. A move to Milan could see him play regularly in his preferred position.
