According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are still showing an interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina.

Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in an experienced midfielder to partner Fred and with the Super Lig window only closing on the 13th of September, the Istanbul side are looking to get a deal done.

A Haber today report on Fenerbahce’s pursuit for the Wolves man, and they say the Yellow Canaries are expected to contact the Premier League side over the availability of the player.

Fenerbahce are hoping to sign Lemina on a free transfer, but it’s likely Wolves would want a transfer fee for him. The Gabon international has under 12 months left on is current deal with the Premier League side, but they have the option to extend this for another season.

The former Galatasaray midfielder is said to be interested in a return to Turkey, but only if Fenerbahce offer him a long-term contract.

Lemina made 39 appearances for Wolves last season, scoring five goals. He’s started all three Premier League games in this campaign.
