Dejan Lovren’s future at Liverpool still remains uncertain and the centre-back has previously been linked with Milan and AS Roma, with the latter of the two identifying the Croatia international as an alternative to Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld.

On August 8th, we relayed news from Italy that Marco Giampaolo’s side will meet the 30-year-old’s intermediaries to discuss about the defender, and TuttoMercatoWeb‘s latest update on Lovren is about the Italian capital club’s interest in the former Southampton man.

The Giallorossi are still thinking about the possibility of signing the Reds player,  who also likes the idea of joining Roma.

However, Lovren’s physical condition is what is currently holding back Roma director of football, Gianluca Petrachi.

Multiple injuries and fitness concerns throughout the course of last season restricted him to just 11 league starts.

For the same reason, Jurgen Klopp’s side ‘seem willing’ to let Lovren leave before the European transfer window closes on September 2nd.
