Manchester City’s Angeliño is on loan at RB Leipzig and he is flourishing in Germany under the orders of Julian Nagelsmann.

The left-back initially joined the Bundesliga side on a temporary deal in the second half of the last campaign and his loan stay was further extended for one more season in the summer.

The Spaniard’s fine displays for Leipzig haven’t gone unnoticed. Journalist Miguel Rico, writing in today’s Mundo Deportivo, claims Barcelona ‘think’ of the 23-year-old to replace their star left-back Jordi Alba.

Angeliño has had a ‘spectacular year’ at Leipzig as Nagelsmann has used him as both left-back and left wing-back.

Rico states the former PSV player has ‘dazzling numbers’ this season as he has seven goals and five assists in 17 matches in all competitions.

Earlier reports have suggested Leipzig will be forced to make Angeliño’s loan stay permanent after a certain number of appearances.

Angeliño has also publicly talked about the possibility of extending his stay with Nagelsmann’s side.
