Spartak Moscow have responded after it was claimed two of their players are the subject of transfer interest, one of them said to be on the agenda of Leeds United.
Zé Luis is reportedly the subject of a €12m offer from the Championship club, and his teammate Luiz Adriano is thought to be interesting Galatasaray.
The Russian media have been covering the claims throughout Wednesday, with people talking against the move, and now the club have had their own say.
Via their official Twitter account, Spartak explained there’d been media claims about both players over the past couple of days.
They told fans not to be worried, because Spartak counts on both for this season and ones to come.
That likely kills Leeds United chances. The Russian side would look rather silly making such claims if they then went on to sell either player over the next week or so.
It was always like to be a long shot, if the reports of an offer are correct.
😉 pic.twitter.com/gHk1rQWqvn
