According to Turkish newspaper Fotomac, Besiktas are interested in signing West Ham United winger Anouar El Mhassani ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 19 year old will become a free agent at the end of the month, and he’s now free to speak to overseas clubs with regards to a pre-contract agreement.
Besiktas are looking to build a younger team under Sergen Yalcin and they want to target free agents because of their financial situation. Along with the West Ham youngster, it’s reported they are also targeting others, such as Hajduk Split’s David Colina.
Fotomac say El Mhassani could be a good addition to the Besiktas squad, and the club’s board will have a meeting with the player in the coming days.
The Dutch winger, who’s eligible to represent Morocco, joined the London club from Ajax’s academy in 2017.
El Mhassani has made 11 appearances for West Ham U18’s Premier League side this season, and scored two goals.
