It’s never surprising to read stories from the Italian media saying that Serie A clubs are interested in Premier League players.

But this time newspaper Tuttosport claims that Inter Milan are actually interested in two Chelsea stars, and it turns out they both play in the same position.

It’s claimed that the Serie A club are looking for fullbacks who can improve their squad, and Emerso Palmieri and Marcos Alonso would be two of the targets.

They’re both seen as players who could get a place at left-back, even though there are no details on how the chase for them is going, or how much they would cost.

Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso have been fighting for a place in the team this season. While the Brazilian has started most of the matches in the Premier League, the Spaniard has more appearances in the Champions League.

It’s not something new to see Palmieri being linked to a move back to Italy, since the likes of Juventus and Milan have also been said to be after him this season as well.

Now if Inter are keen on both of them, it’s probably an easier job to convince one of the two by saying there’s a starting spot waiting for him at the club.
