Greek website Sdna.Gr claim Olympiacos are looking to sign experienced players in the next transfer window and Newcastle United midfielder Mohamed Diame has emerged as a target
It’s reported the Greek club are currently interested in a couple of players and one of those is the Newcastle United man.
Sdna.Gr report Olympiacos are following Diame closely and they could make a move for the Senegalese international at the end of the season.
The 31 year old will be out of contract in the summer and the Greek giants can land him on a free. They can also open talks with the midfielder with regards to a pre-contract agreement.
There are no indications whether the Premier League side will offer him a contract extension and try to keep him at St James’ Park.
Diame has played 28 games for Newcastle in the Premier League this season.
