Unable to get his move to AS Monaco since Leicester City were asking for too much, Boubakary Soumaré remains stuck at the King Power Stadium for the time being.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t any clubs interested in him, with Gazzetta dello Sport reminding everyone that AS Roma, following the injury to Georginio Wijnaldum, are looking for a midfielder.
They appear to have found their man in Mady Camara, currently at Olympiakos, but that doesn’t mean the deal will go through, which is why they are ‘keeping other fronts warm too’.
As made clear by Brendan Rodgers, the former Lille star would like to head elsewhere this summer, but the Foxes don’t want to make too much of a loss on any potential departure.
This is why he has ‘remained on the sidelines a bit’, yet to make an appearance for Leicester this season.
However, he does have the ‘right profile’ for what Roma are looking for, and fits their wage structure to boot, making him a viable option if the road to Camara ends up failing.
