La Liga side Valencia are reportedly in talks to sign Southampton midfielder Ibrahima Diallo.
The report comes from French outlet L’Equipe, who claim the clubs are currently negotiating a loan deal for the 23-year-old.
The story claims Valencia have been in talks for the signing for ‘several days’. The point here is that even though the Spanish club want a loan, Southampton would rather let the player go for good.
L’Equipe writes ‘talks are continuing’, not making it very clear on which club is currently closer to having their requests met.
The outlet claims that Diallo is keen on ‘evolving’, and for that to happen, he wants to join a club where he’ll have ‘a lot of playing time’.
The midfielder joined Southampton in a €12m move from Stade Brestois a couple of seasons ago. He’s not getting a lot of playing time with the Saints, especially after spending so much time on the bench in the second half of last season.
Despite claiming the St. Mary’s side want a sale, L’Equipe don’t mention how much they demand for the transfer.
