After parting ways their captain Burak Yilmaz, Besiktas are looking to sign a striker and they are reportedly interested in signing Norwich City’s Teemu Pukki, say Fotospor.
Yilmaz is close to joining Lille on a free transfer after terminating his contract with the Black Eagles, and Fotospor claim Pukki is a transfer target.
It’s reported the Besiktas board have held talks with Pukki’s agent Teemu Turunen but Fotospor add there’s no information about whether or not Besiktas have made an official offer.
Following Norwich’s relegation, the Finnish striker could leave the club but it’s highly unlikely that Besiktas will pay Norwich’s asking price for Pukki, because of their poor financial situation.
The former Celtic striker has scored 11 goals in the Premier League for Daniel Farke’s side this season in 36 appearances. However, his goals dried up when the Premier League re-started last month.
He’s under contract at Carrow Road until June 2022, but it seems he won’t see at his contract.
