Fotospor report Galatasaray are interested in signing Leicester City’s Nampalys Mendy and are looking for help from their former player Bafetimbi Gomis.
The French midfielder hasn’t been a regular at Leicester since the arrival of Brendan Rodgers, and Fotospor report Galatasaray are looking to loan the player for next season.
However, the Foxes are reportedly looking to sell the player on a permanent deal given his contract situation, but Fotospor claim Gala are still hoping to convince the Premier League side with a loan offer.
Galatasaray board member Sukru Haznedar has reportedly met with Mendy’s agent Ahmed Egal to discuss the move, and initial talks were said to be positive.
Mendy is a cousin of former Cim Bom striker Bafetimbi Gomis, who now plays for Al Hilal, and Fotospor say the Turkish club are looking to use the influence of the former Swansea City striker to help them.
This summer the Super Lig side have lost central midfielders Badou Nidaye and Fernando so they are looking to fill this void by possibly bringing in Mendy.
He’s under contract with Leicester City until June 2020.
