Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been keeping an eye on the situation surrounding young Sochaux defender Willy Kambwala Ndengushi and Manchester United’s interest in him.
The latest report came from RMC Sport in France, who claimed the Ligue 2 side were set to reject the first offer from their Premier League counterparts, wanting at least €2m for their starlet.
Manchester United had, so far, only offered just under €1m, which was deemed insufficient, and now Sochaux are trying to tie down the 15-year-old for the foreseeable future to stave off Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co.
According to RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi, the French club ‘aren’t planning on letting their centre-back leave’ and have now ‘presented him with a project with a professional contract to come in the next few weeks’.
There’s no mention of whether Manchester United upped their offer, but it’s said Kambwala Ndengushi and his entourage ‘are reflecting’ on the offer, most likely to decide what’s best for them going forward.
