Manchester City’s Lukas Nmecha has enjoyed his loan spell at Anderlecht this season.
The Citizens owned striker has 18 goals and three assists in all competitions and his fine displays have convinced the Belgian side to retain him.
Nmecha has a year left on his contract at the Etihad and Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to cash in from his sale in the summer.
Two days ago, the father of the Germany U21 international confirmed City’s intention to sell his son.
Nmecha Sr also revealed there’s a lot of interest from clubs in England and Germany to sign the 22-year-old.
Sport/Voetbalmagazine explain the City player ‘likes’ the team led by Vincent Kompany and would be in favour of extending his stay with them, if they qualify for the Champions League.
It’s claimed Anderlecht could ‘take out the chequebook’ to offer a fee around €8-10m to Manchester City.
The report, however, suggests the Jupiler Pro League sides’s proposal ‘would probably no longer be sufficient’ because interest from English and German sides is gathering pace, and that can become a ‘problem’ for Anderlecht.
