Marseille have made an offer for Chelsea’s Aaron Anselmino to loan him until the end of the season.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who report that the French side are on the hunt for a defender and Anselmino is now being targeted.
The young Argentine only returned to Chelsea this month after joining in the summer but being loaned back to Boca Juniors.
The original plan had been for him to spend the season with the Argentinian giants, but Chelsea elected to cut that short this month, largely due to injuries to the players in their squad.
Now Marseille have made a loan bid for him as they look to strengthen their squad before the end of the transfer window.
A loan offer has been submitted by Marseille’s leaders to Chelsea as they look to secure two signings for Roberto de Zerbi’s squad. Chelsea’s response, or thoughts on the bid, haven’t been shared as yet.
They would presumably be against letting Anselmino go given he was brought back to bolster Enzo Maresca’s squad due to the injuries in that but with Trevoh Chalobah also returning, perhaps there is an opportunity for Anselmino to now depart again.
