Wolves may have to brace themselves for an assault from Lazio this summer, with it believed the Serie A side are eyeing up several of their stars.
Corriere Dello Sport report that Lazio are ‘studying the aces of Wolverhampton’ as they look to improve their squad this summer.
It’s explained that super-agent Jorge Mendes, who wields plenty of control over affairs at Molineux has a special relationship with Lazio after he ‘helped’ them to sell Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao to Wolves in the last year.
That could see ‘new business’ between both parties this summer, and thus several Wolves stars being targeted by the Serie A side.
Chief among them is Diego Jota, with Lazio keen to add to their frontline this summer and him a player who could offer ‘different characteristics’.
The likes of Willy Boly, Jonny Castro and Ruben Neves are also among those named as potential targets for Simone Inzaghi’s side.
At the moment their interest is nothing more than a passing one as they assess the market and look at potential targets.
But there is potential business there to be done with Mendes, who would only have to give them the ‘nod’ to target Wolves current stars.
