Trabzonspor are still pushing hard to get a deal done to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko, claim Fotomac.

The Turkish newspaper report Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta has flown to England for further talks to sign Sissoko, and remains determined to secure the player’s signature before the transfer window closes.

Sissoko has been expected to leave Tottenham during the current transfer window, and that’s still the opinion held in the midfielder’s native France, but there’s been a lack of serious offers.

Last week we covered claims from France, Sissoko has almost nonexistent relations with Mauricio Pochettino, and that his place in the French national side was under threat due to the lack of games he’s been getting in the past 12 months.

It seems Trabzonspor are the only club which has shown concrete interest in Sissoko, and this could change Tottenham’s stance on a deal with the Turkish club.

The Premier League side would prefer to sell the Frenchman on a permanent deal, whilst Trabzonspor are hoping to loan the player for the season

We recently covered reports from the Turkey that Tottenham have rejected Trabzonspor’s €3m loan offer, but the London club could now be prepared to lease Sissoko… that’s the Turkish hope anyway.
