Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons is still wanted by Greek club Panathinaikos, report Sdna.Gr.
Earlier this summer the 23 year old was linked with a move to the Greens and Sdna say Pana’s chances of landing the youngster are increasing.
It’s reported Newcastle United haven’t received any UK offers for their academy product and with the Greek transfer window still open, they could still get a deal done for him.
Panathinaikos are hoping Newcastle United will allow Aarons to join them on a temporary basis and the club’s sporting director Nikos Dabizas is hoping his relationship with the Premier League side will help them land the attacker.
There have been recent reports Dabizas was to hold talks with Steve Bruce with regards to loaning youngsters from the Magpies.
The Greek website say Aarons isn’t included in Bruce’s plans after the former Sheffield Wednesday manager brought in Alain Saint-Maximin this summer.
Aarons still has two years left on his Newcastle United contract.
