FutbolArena have reported Fenerbahçe are still hopeful of signing Jeremain Lens from Sunderland this summer.

The Netherlands international is currently enjoying preseason with Sunderland, scoring goals and putting in good performances, but an exit is still on the cards.

FutbolArena say Lens remains Fenerbahçe’s first choice, but they may have to wait towards the end of the transfer window to land the Dutchman. The Turkish giants are looking for Sunderland to lower their demands before making an official offer for the attacker.

Fenerbahçe boss Aykut Kocaman reportedly wants to work with the Sunderland player, but FFP means they are restricted in the transfer market. Lens was impressive for Fenerbahçe last season whilst on loan, and he’s spoken about his desire to return to the Turkish side

The Yellow Canaries are keeping their options open with Emre Mor, Hatem Ben Arfa and Zoran Tosic also linked with a move to the club.
