Palmeiras are ‘still interested’ in Nottingham Forest’s Ramón Sosa, according to journalist Diego Firmino.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a short update on the Brazilian club’s desire to sign the winger.
Palmeiras tried to take the 25-year-old away from Nottingham Forest in the winter market but weren’t successful. That’s because the Paraguay international decided to continue in Europe, months after joining the Reds from CA Talleres in August 2024.
On March 8th, we covered claims from Paraguay which stated Palmeiras were willing to offer $12m for Sosa. Later that month, journalist Christian Martin indicated he could look for a move away from the Premier League club in the summer window.
Firmino now indicates the attacker, who wasn’t keen on leaving in January, could change his stance due to his situation at Nottingham Forest.
Nuno Espírito Santo has handed him 526 minutes from 22 games, of which 38 minutes were in the league this year. His restricted minutes could favour the South American club to sign Sosa in the upcoming window.
If Palmeiras are still keen, more developments expected in the coming weeks.
