Despite the player starting against Newcastle United at the weekend, Trabzonspor are still hopeful of signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko, report Fotomac.

The Turkish newspaper claim Trabzonspor have agreed on terms with Sissoko, and now must come to an agreement with Tottenham.

Last week it was reported the Turkish side had offered €3m to loan the France international, but the Premier League side want €4m, after lowering their demands from €6m.

Sissoko cost Tottenham €35m when he joined from Newcastle United last summer.

The London club are subsequently looking to recoup as much as they can for what they paid for the Frenchman, and they’ve rejected Trabzonspor’s first loan offer for the player.

Trabzonspor have been prepared to meet Sissoko’s personal demands, and they can also can offer Tottenham a significant loan fee.

If Tottenham can’t find a buyer for Sissoko, then Trabzonspor might have a chance of taking him on loan, but this transfer is most likely to be solved closer to the transfer deadline.
