Brighton & Hove Albion agreed a deal with Lech Poznań for Jakub Moder’s transfer during the summer window and the Seagulls immediately loaned him back to the Polish side for one season.
Last month, we relayed news from Poland the Premier League side have an option to recall the midfielder in the winter market and the last date to exercise the option is on December 15th.
Lech Poznań agreed a deal with Swedish side Djurgårdens IF for signing Jesper Karlström, and the Polish side’s sporting director, Tomasz Rząsa admitted admitted the new addition is related to the possibility of losing Moder to the Premier League side in January.
Interia Sport once again talks about the today’s deadline for Graham Potter’s side to make a decision whether or not they will recall the 21-year-old in the winter market.
Despite earlier reports stating the English club have ‘already made a decision’ to bring Moder to The Amex in January, Interia Sport claims otherwise.
Three different sources from the Poznań based club have assured Interia Sports there is still no ‘formal decision’ from Brighton and they haven’t received any ‘official information’ from the Premier League side to cut short Moder’s loan stay.
The outlet further adds Lech ‘still awaits Brighton’s decision’ as there’s no clarity on where the Pole will play in the second half of this season.
Time’s running out for the Seagulls side and if Potter and co. decide to exercise the option to recall Moder before today, they will have to pay Lech Poznań an additional fee of around €1m.
