Fanatik claim Besiktas have taken a step back in their pursuit of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.
Ospina has been closely linked with a move to Besiktas this summer after the Turkish club sold Fabri to Fulham. However, Fanatik say Ospina’s wage demands are a concern for the Istanbul club.
The Turkish newspaper report Besiktas have convinced Arsenal over a loan move for a fee believed to be around €1.5m, but the Colombia international is demanding a salary of €4m a season.
It’s reported Besiktas are only willing to pay €2m per season to Ospina, however, the Arsenal keeper is refusing to back down with his demands.
Ospina is thought to be an ideal replacement for the recently departed Fabri but it seems Besiktas will be unable to convince the 29 year old over a move to Turkey.
The Colombian is unlikely to get many games for Arsenal next season after the arrival of Bernd Leno this summer from Bayer Leverkusen. Ospina is under contract at the Emirates until June 2020.
