Leeds United’s move for Club Brugge goalkeeper Senne Lammens may have just been handed a boost as the Belgian side have already identified a replacement.
Het Laatste Nieuws report that Brugge have found their new substitute goalkeeper in the form of Stoke’s Josef Bursik, who will sign a four-and-a-half year contract with the club.
Lammens was linked with a move to Leeds this week, with a report from HLN explaining that he is free to negotiate with clubs this month as his contract is expiring in the summer.
His departure would leave Brugge without a back up goalkeeper to Simon Mignolet, but they are now moving to sign Bursik from Stoke.
That deal has been done in anticipation of Lammens departure, which they appear to think is a given at this point.
