According to Turkish newspaper Takvim, Bundesliga club Werder Bremen are interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius, who’s currently on loan at Besiktas.
Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin previously announced that Karius won’t be staying with the Super Lig club beyond this season, and it seems the German goalkeeper needs to find a new team, with Werder Bremen said to be interested in his services.
The 26 year old is nearing the end of his two-year up and down spell at Besiktas and is likely to return to Liverpool when the Turkish Super Lig season is completed.
However, it seems Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is content with his goalkeeping options at the moment, and Karius may again need to move on.
Takvim claim Werder Bremen officials are keen to see Karius in their team next season, and the player could return to his home country for the first time in five years.
Karius’ contract at Anfield will expire at the end of June 2021, although there were reports of an extra year being agreed at the time of the Besiktas loan.
