Beşiktaş have included Tottenham Hotspur’s Pape Matar Sarr on their transfer agenda at the recommendation of the club’s leaders.
That’s according to Fanatik, who state the Black Eagles intend to sign the 20-year-old on loan in the summer.
Tottenham agreed a deal with Metz for the midfielder in 2021 and let him return to the French club on loan last season.
After returning to the north London club last summer, he had to wait until the start of this year to make his debut for Spurs. Since then, Pape Matar Sarr has clocked in less than 400 minutes from 10 appearances.
Following the recommendation of the club’s officials, Beşiktaş will ‘start negotiations’ with the Premier League side towards the end of this season.
It’s claimed the Turkish club remain optimistic that Tottenham will allow the player to go out on a free loan deal in the summer.
Spurs sacked Antonio Conte on Sunday. His permanent successor is yet to be announced and it’s not clear whether the incoming manager would like to include Pape Matar Sarr in his plans at Tottenham next season.
