The summer transfer window closed a week ago and Real Madrid have ‘reset the situation for the future’, where the ‘four stellar names’ of Kylian Mbappé, Ering Haaland, Robert Lewandowski and Paul Pogba ‘stand out’.
That’s according to AS, who have a report on the quartet that includes the Manchester United star.
The newspaper makes it clear the La Liga side will not sign all four players, but from this moment onwards, a ‘special monitoring of their situation is carried out’.
In addition to this, a ‘fluid communication’ with their representatives will be made to ‘advance any type of eventuality’.
The Red Devils midfielder’s contract at Old Trafford will expire in 2022 and he is managed by Mino Raiola, who also advises the Borussia Dortmund striker.
AS points out a Forbes’ report which stated Pogba is behind only Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar, when it comes to ‘generating more money in football’ through advertising.
It’s claimed this [Pogba’s] is ‘just the profile that’ Los Blancos president Florentino Pérez ‘likes’ to generate an ‘economic return’.
The Manchester United player came close to joining the Spanish club two years ago, but the deal didn’t take shape.
AS say that has resulted in a disagreement between Raioa and Pérez, that ‘still lasts’. It remains to be seen whether this would have any impact on a potential deal for Pogba.
