AC Milan have been frustrated in their efforts to sign Renato Sanches from Lille.
Having chased the midfielder for months, the Rossoneri have seen him agree a move to PSG and they now have to move on to other targets.
The man currently getting the most attention is Tottenham Hotspur’s Pape Sarr, with it being repeatedly stated over the past week that he was the player who would be targeted if a move for Sanches failed.
Thursday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport reports that discussions will be held with Fabio Paratici ‘in the coming days’, and Milan are looking for a loan with a purchase right.
The Serie A champions have been speaking with Spurs about several players, and Tanguy Ndombele’s name has also been raised, but there’s no more information on that possible transfer at this stage.
Further back on the pitch, Milan continue to be interested in a move for Japhet Tanganga but they’re struggling to agree a deal with Tottenham.
The Premier League club would be happy to agree a loan deal with a €20m redemption obligation, yet the Italian side would want that obligation to instead be an option.
PSG’s Abdou Diallo is another option for them.
