Matteo Darmian’s move back to Italy is once again making it to the headlines today, this time in a story from Tuttosport.
As the newspaper analyses what Inter Milan will do at the end of the season, they say there’s a big possibility they could try to sign the Manchester United fullback again.
Tuttosport write that Inter Milan already thought of signing Darmian in January, when the Red Devils wanted a loan deal with an option to buy of over €10m.
Juventus were in the race at that time as well, but Inter ended up signing Cedric Soares from Southampton, and the Old Lady got Martin Caceres back to the club.
Now Beppe Marotta, who tried to bring Darmian to Juve several times during his time at the club, has now changed sides and could try the same signing for Inter Milan.
Tuttosport refers to the player as a ‘prisoner’ of his contract with Man United, especially because he hasn’t been playing, regardless of the change of managers at the club.
