Once again speaking out about his client’s situation at Leicester, Nampalys Mendy’s agent isn’t happy about the Foxes’ insistence to sell the player rather than let him go on loan.
Speaking to L’Equipe on Tuesday, the unnamed representative made it clear that a full transfer at this moment in time was not ‘feasible’, and that if they didn’t let him go on loan to ‘once again find his rhythm, sensations and his potential’, then he’d have to stay at the King Power Stadium.
Describing the situation as ‘incomprehensible’, the Leicester midfielder’s agent is adamant that a loan is what’s best for all parties, with Bordeaux his client’s preferred destination.
Well, he’s in luck, as this week’s edition of France Football reveal the LIgue 1 side are still studying the possibility of bringing the 25-year-old in for the upcoming campaign, even if a full transfer is out of the question.
The French magazine state Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side are going to make a loan offer for Mendy with an option to buy at €10m.
As things stand, such an offer runs a high risk of being rejected, but, who knows, maybe a bit more public complaining could force the issue?
