For the past couple of weeks, we’ve covered a few stories from Italy which reported Arsenal and Manchester United interest in Ezequiel Barco.
The Premier League sides have been named as competition for Serie A clubs, such as Inter Milan and AS Roma, who are interested in the player.
His price had never been mentioned in these reports, but now it’s finally time for Calcio Mercato to come up with an update on it.
They say that after spending US$15m to sign Barco, Atlanta United are now starting the negotiations with a valuation of US$25m.
This time it’s claimed Arsenal and Manchester United ‘continue to monitor’ the winger, along with Portuguese side Sporting.
Calcio Mercato highlights the fact that Barco doesn’t have an EU passport, which may be an issue for Italian sides who will have to use a spot for foreigners.
That’s something the Premier League clubs should consider as well, with regards to a work permit.
