Philip Billing joined Napoli from Bournemouth in the winter transfer window on an initial loan deal with the option to buy.

In his second appearance for the Italian giants at the weekend, the Danish midfielder scored a vital equaliser against Inter Milan after coming on in the second half.

This came after he had played over 60 minutes against Como around a week ago and suggests that Napoli are starting to trust Billing more

An update about the 28-year-old has arrived and Bournemouth could soon earn a fee from his permanent transfer.

AreaNapoli have reported that Billing’s key goal against Inter shows signing him can be an ‘important move’ by the Partenopei, who are now going to ‘seriously think’ about signing him on a permanent basis in the next few weeks.

Bournemouth will earn a fee of €10m from the sale and as part of the agreement, the player will also earn €3m if Napoli end up exercising the buyout option.

Considering how Billing had played less than 200 minutes in the Premier League for the Cherries this season, the South Coast club should be pleased if they earn €10m from his exit.
