Tuttosport’s big story today claims Juventus had officials watching the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
The Old Lady were on a ‘mission’, mainly scouting players with contracts expiring soon, such as Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld, but there was a star from the Reds being watched as well.
The newspaper writes Juventus’ interest in Mohamed Salah has been ‘known’ for a while now, and perhaps that’s why they don’t bring a lot of details on this chase.
They compare Salah to Heung-min Son, saying they have similar skills, speed, and their popularity brings commercial opportunities.
There’s nothing on how high Salah would be on Juventus’ wishlist for next summer, although they might’ve liked what they saw from him on Sunday.
As we said earlier, Juventus are mostly linked to players who are at the end of their contracts, as they’re normally cheaper targets. But since signing Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018, we shouldn’t rule out the Old Lady going for expansive stars, which would of course be the case with Salah.
