Jota Silva joined Nottingham Forest from Vitoria de Guimaraes in the summer transfer window for an initial fee of €7m.

The winger is yet to score in the Premier League for Nuno Santo’s side but he’s been a squad player for Nottingham Forest in what has been a sensational season for the club so far.

The 25-year-old has played 18 times in the league and he also came off the bench against Everton at the weekend, as Forest picked up a 2-0 win.

It now seems as if Jota Silva’s squad role isn’t just benefiting him and Nottingham Forest. OJogo today have reported that Vitoria could soon earn another sum as part of the summer move.

A clause in the winger’s contract states that the Portuguese club will stand to earn €3m if their former player features for 45 minutes in 15 games. He has currently done that in six games so far in the season.

Vitoria’s bonuses will not end there. As they can also earn a fee of €2m when Silva scores ten goals for Nottingham Forest.

The outlet explains that the player is currently fulfilling his dream of playing in the Premier League, as they highlight how he scored 15 times in all competitions for Vitoria in the 2023/24 season.
