Turkish TV Channel A Spor report West Bromwich Albion and Lazio will continue to battle it out for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi.

The Serie A club, who will play in the Champions League next season, recently made a €15m offer for the player, but A Spor report West Brom remain keen to sign him.

Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that the Baggies have also submitted an official offer for the 26 year-old.

A Spor say that following West Brom’s offer, Lazio have raised their bid for Muriqi, and they are now willing to pay €20m to sign the Kosovo international.

Fenerbahce are likely to sell Muriqi to the highest bidder but it seems Lazio are in pole position to sign him, and there’s chance West Brom’s name is simply being used to pressure the Italian club.

The former Caykur Rizespor striker scored 17 goals in all competitions for Fenerbahce last season and is under contract with the club until June 2023.

Today West Brom have also been linked with Everton’s Cenk Tosun as they look to bring in an experienced forward this summer.
