Spanish outlet Cadena Cope reports this Wednesday that La Liga side Atletico Madrid are coming strong to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea.

The story comes from journalist Antonio Ruiz, who says the Colchonero’s director Andrea Berta has been in London since yesterday working to get the deal done.

It’s claimed that, also today, Morata’s agent Juanma López, who happens to be a former Atletico Madrid player, traveled to speak to Chelsea.

Ruiz says that the Spanish side is trying to get the striker on a loan deal with a buying option. The player himself sees the transfer with ‘good eyes’.

In 24 appearances for the Blues this season, Alvaro Morata has scored nine goals. Although it doesn’t sound like an awful stat, the Spaniard hasn’t been left in peace as rumours about his departure are out everyday.

Now although most of the outlets used to say that a transfer to Sevilla or Italy was the most likely possibility, it looks like Atletico could be bringing the player back to Madrid.
