Aksam claim Galatasaray are following Danny Welbeck’s situation at Arsenal closely and the Turkish club could make an offer for the forward in January.

Welbeck has previously been linked with a move to Galatasaray, but a move never materialised in the last transfer window.

Under Unai Emery, the England international was in good form but he picked up an ankle injury which has ruled him out for a significant period.

According to Aksam, Galatasaray officials are currently investigating Welbeck’s injury status and if the player will be ready until February then the Turkish club could make a loan offer for the Arsenal man.

The Turkish newspaper also report if Welbeck doesn’t recover in time, which unless there’s a miracle he won’t, then Galatasaray will consider waiting until the summer to land him on a free transfer. The Super Lig club have made it a priority to bring in a No.9 in the next window.

Welbeck played 14 games before the injury, scoring 5 goals.
