Paul Pogba has over a year left on his contract at Manchester United and the Red Devils retain an option to further extend it by a year.

According to Calciomercato, the Old Trafford side will not exercise the option to renew and they intend to sell the midfielder in the summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side need at least €100m for the Frenchman and that can be achieved either through a proper transfer or by including player(s) as part of the deal.

Juventus ‘remain firm’ in the race for the 27-year-old, along with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.

With regards to the Old Lady, their former player would be ‘more than willing’ to return to Turin.

United’s first choice is to have Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral as a part of the Pogba operation. However, it’s ‘almost impossible’ for Juve to let the centre-backs leave the club.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are ready to discuss sending Aaron Ramsey, Douglas Costa or Miralem Pjanić. The report indicates the Italian champions don’t have the financial means needed to sign the United star by paying a fee up front.

If the English club are not happy with players offered to them, it could be difficult for Juve to conclude the transfer, even if there’s willingness from Pogba to join them.
