Trabzon based newspaper Taka report Trabzonspor are again looking to sign Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong.
Taka say the Turkish club are set to reignite their interest in Ndong following their links with the player when he was playing at Lorient during the 2014/15 season.
Ndong eventually signed for Sunderland at the start of 2016/17 season but after the Black Cats’ relegation, he played 21 games for Sunderland in the Championship in the last campaign, before moving to Watford on loan in the last transfer window.
Sunderland’s relegation to League One means Ndong is unlikely to stay at the club and Trabzonspor are looking to take advantage of the situation.
The Turkish club recently sold Okay Yokuslu to Spanish side Celta Vigo, and Ndong seems to be an option to fill the void left by the Turkey international. Serie A side Torino have also been linked with Ndong in recent weeks.
The Gabonese midfielder still has three years left on his current Sunderland contract.
