On Monday, reports in Germany and England suggested that Liverpool had turned down a first offer for Sadio Mané from Bayern Munich.
This was then followed by Sport1 claiming a renewed bid would be on its way, with the intention to close a deal in the near future.
Well, that hasn’t happened just yet, but Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg gave us the latest from the Bavarian side of things on Wednesday.
Taking to Twitter, he explained that Hasan Salihamidzic ‘is in regular contact with Liverpool’, as well as Mané’s agent.
Update #Mané: Salihamidzic is in regular contact with Liverpool/ his agent. Negotiations ongoing. A personal meeting in 🏴 is possible this week. Been told again that Mané only wants to join #FCBayern! Bayern asked him to stay patient because it will be a tough poker. @SkySports
