On March 11th, Middlesbrough confirmed the signing of Williams Kokolo from Sunderland.
The 19-year-old, who has signed a two-year contract with Boro, will be a part of their academy.
According to Area Napoli, Bayern Munich, Napoli and other European clubs will continue to monitor his growth and development as they view him as one for the future.
It’s claimed ‘some market operators’ informed the Serie A side to keep an eye on the French teenager, who can operate as a left-back or the left wing.
Kokolo shares an agent with his compatriot, Karim Zedadka, who is currently at Napoli’s academy. The duo are represented by former Marseille defender Ronald Zubar.
It wasn’t Zubar who recommended the Middlesbrough youngster to Napoli. Instead, it was an Italian intermediary, who is well known to Zubar.
Any approach from Napoli or Bayern in the future for Kokolo would be difficult because Zubar wants his client to continue in England for many years.
