Leroy Sané’s decision to change agents hasn’t gone down well with Bayern Munich as they will have to start negotiations afresh with the Manchester City star’s new representatives.
Kicker now states the Bundesliga side’s leaders are already planning for next season and the Germany international is discussed again. Bayern bosses no longer agree the winger must be signed ‘in any case‘.
Bayern were keen on acquiring his services last summer and before the start of the season, the Bavarian club received a ‘letter of intent’ from the 24-year-old’s camp. However, there was no contractual obligations tied to it.
A potential move collapsed after the 24-year-old suffered a serious knee injury last August and he hasn’t returned to the pitch.
With his current deal set to expire in 2021, it’s claimed City have not offered a new deal to extend the contract and Pep Guardiola also doesn’t fight to retain the attacker.
Kicker claims Bayern must decide the money needed to spend on signing Sané, who is recovering from an injury. Any potential transfer also depends on the fee demanded by the English champions.
Apart from Bayern, there are no other clubs interested in Sané, claims the report.
