Brought back by Wolverhampton Wanderers from his rather nightmarish loan at Fiorentina, Patrick Cutrone is once again warming the bench at Molineux.
Substituted on for the two losses against Everton and West Brom, the Italian is currently playing backup to 18-year-old Fábio Silva for the time being.
We say that because it’s no secret the Premier League club are currently on the market for another goalscorer while they wait for Raúl Jiménez to recover, and Willian José appears to be their option.
That’s yet to be officially confirmed, but it appears the Brazilian will step in until the end of the season at the very least, meaning Cutrone will likely find himself being third choice at a club he doesn’t really want to be at anyway.
This is why talk of him returning to Italy isn’t all that crazy, and with this season allowing players to feature for three clubs, Parma are lurking in the shadows.
That’s according to Sky Italia, who explain the Serie A side ‘would be ready to take the opportunity’ should Wolves bring in another goalscorer and make Cutrone once again available on the transfer market.
One we’ll be keeping an eye on, and it could end up being a very busy window for the Italian, who simply wants stability at this point.
